Have good clothes you no longer wear? Buying new furniture or appliances? Donate those items to the Thee Thrift Store! Puzzles, games, books and toys. These items can be sold and the proceeds help fund the food bank. All donations are tax deductible, just ask for a receipt.

We depend on Volunteers …

Volunteers play an extremely important role at the Judah Food Bank. We rely solely on volunteers to operate and manage the food bank. Volunteers help sort and stock the food we distribute, maintain and clean the building and to greet the patrons and donors. We also rely on volunteers to operate Thee Thrift Store.

Can we depend on You?

Volunteer hours available at Thee Thrift Store are 11:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Saturday . If you would like to become a volunteer for the Judah Food Bank or Thee Thrift Store, please fill out and submit the Volunteer Form online or contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Elizabeth Newman at (580) 660-0529.
Hold a Food Drive!
By holding a food drive, your business, school, church or organization can help alleviate hunger in Oklahoma. Food drives contribute much needed non-perishable food items that help stock the shelves. A food drive is a great activity that is easy and rewarding. Everyone in your organization can get involved and make a difference in the lives of hungry Oklahomans in Washita County.
Getting Starting
Start by assigning someone to be in charge of organizing the food drive. This person can oversee the promotion of the drive, placement of collecting boxes and working with the Food Bank. Committees can also be formed to handle aspects of the food drive such as promotions, activities, etc.
Collecting the Food
Use boxes or barrels to collect the food. Boxes can be decorated for visibility and to add fun to your food drive. Place the boxes in convenient, highly traveled locations of your building such as lobbies, cafeterias, etc.
Promoting your Food Drive
Promote your food drive at least two weeks in advance. Posters and flyers should list the date of the drive, who the food will go to and what food are needed. Place in well traveled areas such as entrances, hallways, etc. Send notices by email, in employee boxes, or as payroll stuffers.

...'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
